Work session II

Work session II.
Last Sunday 8, March, we decided to give a new working session to the GTV.
We took off all the old wiring loom, completely. It looks to be in a decent state, has no patches or horrors, except for an awful connection for the radio and a couple of unindentified things in the door jambs, never seen on a GTV. They look like an alarm sensors.
We took off too the last remains of the insulation mats, in the fire fender. It weights quite a lot. No point for thinks like these in a full race car.
Floors look nice. On drivers left corner we found a light surface rust, not worring, possibly originated by humidity.
Everything else is near perfect.
The best way to work on the body is to left it completely naked. We started to took off the bituminic coat from the inner floors. With a strong palette knife, it goes. Hard work, indeed, but it keeps going with no mutch effort, sometimes lifting big pieces of this stuff. In the joins between sections, we found a mastic gum. Is here where the coat is harder to crack and lift. This areas must receive the electric rotating wirebrush.

Next works will be on rear floors. Here, the coat seems to be better glued, it mixed with some other stuff, and its harder to lift.
Nest weekend I'll receive a car-lift fro the garage, so work on car will be close to none. Stay tune!

Sesion de traballos II

Bos dias.

Sesion de traballos II.
O domingo se lle meteu outra sesion de traballo o GTV.
Retirouse a instalacion electrica completa. Presenta bo estado, e non ten ñapas nin empates, agas os da radio e dous chismes que van nas portas que nunca os vira nun GTV. Semellan uns sensores dunha alarma.
Tamen se quitou o ultimo cacho da manta insonorizante. A que vai na mampara do motor, e incrible o que pesa.
Os fondos teñen boa pinta. Na esquina do embrague apareceu oxido superficial, dalgunha humidade.
Polo resto esta perfecto.
O mellor pra traballar na carroceria, e as cousas que se van facer e deixar todo ben pelado. Empezouse a retirar a capa de resina dos fondos interiores. Dandolle conha espatula forte, vai saindo. Da traballo, pero sae sen moito esforzo, as veces cachos grandes. O pero onde se xunta co masillete co que selan as xuntas entre chapas. Neses sitios habera que darlle cun cepillo radial.

No lado do copi, esta todo perfecto.
Pra a proxima sesion de traballo toca darlle a parte traseira dos asentos. Ali algo mesturouse coa capa bituminica, e esta ben jodida de sacar.
O proximo fin de seman, se todo vai ben, se traballara en monta-lo elevador, asi que pouco avance vai te-lo coche.
